Batch Maker / Chemical Mixer / Compounder
Monday - Friday First shift 7:00a 4:00p with 1 hour lunch.

Position Summary
The Ink Manufacturer is primarily responsible for operating ink-making machinery and equipment, manufacturing and packaging fluids, and keeping their workstation, equipment and products clean and orderly.
The Ink Manufacturer makes sure all work is conducted in accordance with the customer requirements as detailed on batch tickets and in accordance with all Kao Collins processes and procedures.
Job Function
Running batches of ink based on the batch ticket provided while adhering to company processes and procedures independently after training.
Packaging finished product in various containers and labeling containers.
Pulls, measures, weighs, and blends product to batch ticket specifications (water, solvent, UV/EB, or oil based).
Packages finished product, ensuring that all information on the batch ticket is completed to customer specifications.
Processes and completes documentation accurately by recording information on batch tickets, labeling containers, packaging inks and inspecting customer products per requirements.
Communicate with management when discrepancies come up.
Following safety and regulatory compliance procedures.
Attention to detail and willingness to problem solve.
Able to work independently once fully trained.
Always maintains adherence to The Kao Way standards.
Inventory control activities.
Other duties as assigned by production management.
Skills to be Successful
Education:
High school diploma or GED
6 months or more of batch maker/compounder/mixer experience required (chemical mixing or food mixing).
Prior experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is .
Forklift certification a plus.
Communication:
Ability to read batch tickets (work orders or invoices).
Must be able to work independently or as a team depending on the business requirements.
Physical:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to maneuver 500+ pound drum on a drum truck.
