S&W Contracting Company are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented Building Automation Systems (BAS) installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in conduit installation as well as low-voltage wiring, and terminations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run and secure conduit systems (EMT, Rigid, and flexible conduit) according to project specifications and safety standards.
- lnstall, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems.
- Mount and wire sensors and control panels in HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work independently and as a team player to efficiently complete projects within timelines.
- Ability to operate and perform from aerial lifts and ladders of all sizes
- Sound working knowledge of HVAC systems and associated plant/control systems
- Additional activities to meet contracted requirements and/or to support customer service and support.
- Must maintain all safety equipment, including wearing all PPE that is required to perform the job duties
- The ability to own and follow through on commitments to completion.
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies and practices.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in conduit bending and routing (EMT, Rigid).
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and technical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to best practices.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as required.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
Rare: (less than 10%): sitting, kneeling, crawling, -vision, climbing stairs
Occasional: (up to 33%): stooping, squatting, climbing on/off a truck, reading, pushing, climbing ladders, lifting to 50 lbs.
Frequent: (up to 66%): walking, body-twisting, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, hearing-speech range, lifting, carrying, pulling, balancing, lifting to 10 lbs.
Continuous: (up to 100%): standing, sense of touch, seeing distant, climbing, gripping, lifting 10-50 lbs., seeing, reaching, range of motion, depth perception
Possession of good hearing, normal or corrected.
Possession of good vision, normal or corrected.
Positive identification of wiring colors.
REQUIRED:
3-5 years of electrical experience
OSHA 10 or 30 certifications
Familiarity with HVAC and energy management systems
Attention to details
Strong code of ethics
Normal working schedule:
- 6AM to 4:30PM (30-minute lunch break)
- 4–10-hour workdays, unless job requires other work schedules
