Job DescriptionJob Description
A metals distributor in the San Diego area has an opening for a full-time Saw Operator & Inspector to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday (7:30 am to 4:00 pm) & available to work Overtime as needed. This is a temp-to-hire position, to ensure that you are a good fit for our company and that we are a good fit for you.
This individual will be assisting warehouse team to inspect materials, cut metals to size, and final inspect parts. Must also assist with keeping saws, equipment, and warehouse clean, and returning unused materials to stock.
Requirements:
· 2 years of experience operating saw (horizontal and vertical cutting band saws experience )
· Basic math and measurement skills
· High attention to detail -- accuracy is a must!
· Trained in use of calipers and tape measures
· Trained in forklift operation
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
· Must be able to multi-task
· Be comfortable working in different departments as workload dictates
· Clean Background/Criminal History
· Excellent organizational skills to complement a robust Quality System

· Flexible with hours; able to work overtime if required
· Eager to take on new tasks
· Detail-oriented
· Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
· Punctual, professional, honest & ethical
Qualifications:
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English
• Ability to communicate information and instructions in a clear and concise manner and to follow verbal or written instructions
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment
