Job Description
This role performs moderate to highly complex inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft structures and systems. You work with minimal supervision to complete complex inspections, repairs, and modifications while ensuring all tasks meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. You also support accurate documentation, secure handling of customer property, and effective communication within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft structures and systems.
- Conduct complex aircraft inspections, structural repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.
- Communicate clearly to receive, understand, and clarify work assignments and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure full compliance with internal procedures and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
- Accurately complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and all associated documentation in a timely manner.
- Ensure all work accomplished meets applicable quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Properly identify and tag customer property and equipment to maintain traceability and control.
- Store aircraft components and customer property securely and safely to prevent damage or loss.
- Support troubleshooting, removal, repair, replacement, and overhaul of aircraft systems and structural components as needed.
- Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in an extremely fast-paced, highly time-sensitive environment.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience as an aviation structural mechanic or aircraft technician working on airframe and structural components.
- Proficiency in airframe maintenance, including repair, removal, replacement, and overhaul of structural components.
- Experience with aircraft powerplant and systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of maintenance troubleshooting methods for aircraft structures and systems.
- Familiarity with FAA inspection and documentation requirements and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Ability to complete maintenance documentation, including CMP cards and work order sign-offs, accurately and on time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards and specifications.
- Effective communication skills to understand and clarify work assignments.
- Ability and willingness to work any shift and overtime as required in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a sheet metal technician performing fabrication and modification work on aircraft structures.
- Experience in structural repair, including fabrication, fitting, and installation of sheet metal components.
- Exposure to maintenance troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of various aircraft systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team in a highly deadline-oriented setting.

Work Environment
The work environment is extremely fast paced and very deadline oriented, requiring flexibility and a strong sense of urgency. You must be willing to work any shift and overtime as required to support operational needs and meet critical timelines. Work centers around hangar and shop settings where aircraft structures, systems, and components are inspected, repaired, fabricated, and stored. You work with tools and equipment commonly used for airframe, sheet metal, and systems maintenance while following established safety procedures and secure storage practices for customer property and aircraft components.

This is a Contract position based out of BRUNSWICK, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.75 - $28.75/hr.
