AV/Low Voltage Field Technician

The AV/Low Voltage Technician works with other installers and independently, in the completion of installs and service calls. Responsible for timely completion of daily procedures of duties assigned by Lead Technician and Project Manager.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive, onsite audio/visual equipment installation including: Low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, and control systems

Install, configure, and troubleshoot security products, including alarm systems, cameras, and access control products

Proficiency running and terminating low voltage wiring, including CAT5e/CAT6, coaxial, and wire

Install and program automated and mechanical shades

Assist with installation of displays, screens, and projectors

Respond promptly to service calls, requests for technical support, diagnosing and resolving issues in a timely manner

Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure proper functionality and performance

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various physical environments, including tight spaces and heights

Equipment delivery and associated responsibilities

Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer service

Keep a clean and organized work environment on and off-site

Willingness to learn and advance within the E-style structure

Keep abreast of the latest developments in smart home technology and attend training sessions as needed to maintain expertise in the field.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and Safe Driving Record
- Successfully pass a background check
Skills:
- At least 1 year of technical experience in the audio/visual industry or similar field
- Familiarity with telecommunications/low voltage equipment and strong interest in technology industry
- Familiarity with new build construction sites
- Previous experience or knowledge of telecommunications or other related fields
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management skills, with strong organization and prioritization abilities
- Dedicated, team-oriented personality
- Strong work-ethic and positive attitude
- Knowledgeable and cognizant of general safety compliance procedures as well as specific safety requirements related to cabling
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in varying temperatures or tight spaces (ie. attics)
· Proficient in safe use of hand and power tools
· Capable of working professionally on residential, construction, and commercial job-site locations
