Master Automotive Technician – Baytown, TX

Compensation: From $45-60/hr, depending on experience

We are a respected, fast-growing independent auto repair shop in Baytown, TX, and we’re looking for an experienced Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our team. If you’re a high-level diagnostic tech who takes pride in quality work, loves a busy shop, and wants to grow with a company that values its people, this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, drivability testing, and electrical troubleshooting
• Accurately diagnose and repair engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems
• Use OEM-level scan tools and diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance and multi-point inspections
• Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines
• Help mentor junior technicians when needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

Requirements

• ASE Master Technician certification (or ability to obtain Master within a reasonable timeframe)
• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience (diagnostic-heavy ideal)
• Strong electrical, drivability, and advanced diagnostic capabilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Own your tools; shop provides major equipment and specialty tools
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
