Auto Experts of Texas is a premier automotive repair facility in Farmersville, Texas, offering a complete array of automotive services and repairs. We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with gasoline-powered vehicles and a strong background in automotive repair. Experience with diesel engines is highly sought after. The Automotive Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain customers' vehicles, as well as perform routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Diagnose and repair all automobile systems and subsystems, including, but not limited to, the engine overall, fuel systems, brakes, electrical systems, exhaust systems, steering and control systems, and wheel alignments.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• The ability to identify defective automotive parts and estimate time to complete repairs on a wide range of vehicles
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Operate front-end alignment equipment, air conditioning recharging equipment, and other specialized automotive maintenance equipment
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed using Mitchell 1 or AllData Repair software
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Communicate with customers clearly and concisely regarding their vehicle's repairs and maintenance needs

Qualifications:

• Must process own tools necessary to perform repair tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with gasoline-powered vehicles (Diesel experience is a plus).
• ASE certification
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and repair tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to overcome obstacles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Wrecker driver experience is desirable
• Spanish speaking skills are highly desirable

We offer competitive pay range of $20 to $30 an hour based on verifiable experience. Would consider flag hour pay for the right candidate.
