Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:
- Manage system level validation durability testing at a vehicle level including data review, issue identification, results reporting and process improvements.
- Plan and conduct assigned focused development and validation tests, analyze data, and report the results.
- Support vehicle conversions and integration for new/existing programs.
- Coordinate with external contacts to support vehicle maintenance, design, and integration needs.
- Support calibration/validation test trips through vehicle preparation and configuration control
- Assist in maintaining and updating test vehicles to support product development and validation testing. Develop new test cycles and procedures when needed.
- Troubleshooting of test equipment and vehicle diagnostics
- Contribute to department continuous improvement activities to increase testing efficiency, reduce cost, and drive high levels of quality.
- Interfaces and collaborates with Harlan Global internal resources and business partners.
- Participates in planning and/or status meetings.
- Promotes collaboration on all assignments.
- Maintains willingness to share professional knowledge and experience with teammates.
- Observes applicable procedures and standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years of commercial vehicle experience related to vehicle level validation, or vehicle system design and integration.
- Diagnose automotive wiring issues.
- Ability to read schematics, drawing, blueprints of automotive manufacturing.
- Understand AutoCAD and similar work instructions and diagrams for new electric powered vehicles.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, functions, and features
- Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Understanding of powertrain control software and calibration
- Proven skills in troubleshooting electronic controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Data processing/analysis experience
- Strong oral and written communication
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with computer operations, including Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings required.
- Experience with EV or Hybrid vehicle propulsion systems.
- Understanding of high voltage electrical systems and power electronics.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering or equivalent degree/experience
