Hastings CDJR is looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team. Hastings Auto Group, which started with Hastings Ford, is a locally owned, family business that has grown from 16 employees in 2012 to over 80 employees in its 12 years of operation. We've even been able to offer opportunities outside of Hastings Ford, with the growth of our Quick Lane/Sinclair Fuel station, our acquisition of the former Hastings Honda (now HFX Honda Powersports), and now, the new acquisition of Hastings Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. What You’ll Do
- Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and by dealership standards.
- Work independently and as a team to drive maximum repair efficiency.
- Consistently and concisely detail and document repairs.
- Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc., to specification.
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
- Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- Continue ongoing training to stay abreast of the new technology and techniques on the vehicle model lines.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience as an automotive technician is but not required.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Team oriented, flexible, high energy, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Vocational/Technical or certification .
