Chevrolet of Smithtown, located on Middle Country Rd in Saint James has an immediate opening for all service for all levels of technicians for our union shop.

We require a reliable team player with a positive attitude who is willing to go above and beyond for the customer. Applicants must be able to multi-task in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.

ASE Certification

Must be at least 21 years old

Must have a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

• Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience

• GM experience plus

• A, B, C level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic
