Automotive Production Supervisor
Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts
• Drive to exceed personal, team, Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership
• Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams
Skills Required:
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations
• Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers
• Highly committed to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset
• Create a culture of safety and apply and implement workplace policies
• Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively
• Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others
Experience Required:
• 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
Experience :
• Safety and quality experience
• Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
• Knowledge of constraint management principles
• Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree
Additional Information :
· Process Coaches must be able to work all 3 crew patterns in the plant, which rotate every 3 months, as well as overtime as required.
· There are occasional extra production shifts on the weekend and Process Coaches are assigned to support those, as needed.
· The 3-crew patterns are as follows which account for arriving ½ hour prior to the shift starting
o A-Crew: Monday-Thursday 5/5:30am-4:30pm
o B-Crew: Tuesday-Friday 5/5:30pm-4:30am
o C-Crew: Friday/Saturday 5/5:30am-4:30pm AND Sunday/Monday 5/5:30pm-4:30am
· It is important Process Coaches arrive before the production shifts begin on the crew assigned and remain afterwards to ensure employees are paid properly.
· There are times when the lines will run beyond the end of the shift.
