Automotive Manufacturing Night Shift Production Supervisor

Job DescriptionJob Description

The Production Supervisor will focus, through production personnel, by directing and coordinating the daily activities involved in producing products in our assembly facility.

• Responsible for providing a safe and productive work environment
• Investigates and countermeasure performance gaps in efficiency, scrap, on-time delivery, PPM and other measurables
• Work in coordination with other departments in effort to reduce cost and improve performance
• Ensure that inventory is controlled properly through reporting and scrapping in production workbench
• Prepare accurate and timely performance evaluation on employees
• Provides employees with guidance, counseling, training and development so the employee can be effective in their position
• Studies production schedules and estimates manpower requirements to meet the schedule
• Train Team Leaders and Production Associates in all aspects of Safety, Quality & Productivity
• Effectively investigate, countermeasure, and present closure for Safety Incidents
• Effectively investigate, countermeasure, and present closure for Quality Incidents
• Capable of engaging with production team to drive department performance in all areas
• Overtime is a requirement for the position.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (Resistance Welding)
• Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills
• Must have technical presentation skills
• Computer literacy, including MS Office
