Automotive Commercial Programme Director

Job Description

The Automotive Commercial Programme Director is responsible for researching , planning and implementing the range of projects required in the organisation to meet the ambitious growth plans. This role will report to the CEO and will work with the Senior Management Team to ensure the ongoing sustainability, growth of the organisation by delivering innovative quality products on time to support the organisation. Additionally, this role will ensure that products which are launched in different international markets meet the requirements of the local jurisdictions. 1-2 weeks / month in China with customers will be required along with strong commercial knowledge of the Automotive sector.

Main duties and responsibilities:

*Collate all information including the key project description, product
specifications, performance attributes, cost and quality targets, product
development resources requirements, investment and key program performance
indicators.
*Define the various program phases, and establish an appropriate cadence and time
objectives, master timeline, program milestones and review gates to meet project
goals and organisation objectives.
*Perform an interdepartmental coordination role to ensure every function meets their
respective program goals.

Financial and Performance Management
*Accountable for setting the Project budget with the CEO and Senior Management Team
to support successful delivery of the strategic business plans. This process will
involve working and coordinating inputs from all key organization functions:
Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Human Resources and Finance.
*Deliver the Program to ensure that as an organization we maximize our gross margin.
*Overall responsibility of ensuring that any major risks to the organisation are
identified, reviewed and that systems have been established to mitigate these risks
and ensure CEO is advised of same.
