Automation Test Engineer - Playwright in EC1

Job DescriptionThis is a fully remote 6 month FTC position - (UK applicants only) ** Automation Engineer with Playwright experience and good JavaScript / Typescript coding skills is required by my consulting client. We are working with a leading Consulting firm seeking an Automation Engineer with Playwright experience, their client is a financial institution who are looking to establish automation frameworks (Playwright) and CI/CD pipelines from scratch. You will be the go-to person for automation strategy and delivery in a modern, cloud-based environment. Key Responsibilities: * Design and build robust automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript or Javascript) * Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, ideally within Azure DevOps * Collaborate with client development and QA teams to embed automation throughout delivery * Contribute to testing and deployment within cloud environments (preferably Azure) * Champion automation best practices in a consulting-led, greenfield setting Skills & Experience: * Strong background in test automation for web applications * Good with Playwright, developing & building test cases from scratch * Confident in coding with either TypeScript or JavaScript * Knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines and version control * Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) * Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced consulting environment Package: * to £50,000 FTC * Fully Remote (UK only) * Immediate start * Opportunity to build automation from the ground up on a high-impact project This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a role with a growing consultancy that have a positive culture.
