Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Automation Technician for a growing manufacturing team supporting production and facility projects. This role offers hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and project work, with opportunities to learn and grow technical skills across mechanical and electrical systems. Nights and weekends available, paying up to $40 per hour with growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs (primarily Allen-Bradley, plus occasional non-traditional brands) and VFDs.
• Support project work such as plant layout changes, equipment guarding, and safety installations.
• Operate basic fabrication equipment (lathe, mill) for functional guarding and repairs.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams to identify issues and perform repairs.
• Collaborate with team members for skill development, one-on-one coaching, and cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Technical degree or equivalent maintenance experience; 1–5 years of experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Basic PLC and VFD troubleshooting knowledge; ability to read schematics and understand wiring.
• Beneficial for more advanced PLC understanding.Experience with fabrication, guarding, and safety device installation.
