Location: Elgin, IL
Assignment Duration: Through 1/2/2026 and renewed on quarterly basis with potential to run 2 full years
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM
Pay Rate: $28/hour

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair computer-controlled automation systems and robotic devices in industrial settings
• Troubleshoot automation control systems using schematics, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation
• Perform scheduled maintenance and diagnostics according to TPM guidelines
• Install, configure, and commission new robotic and production equipment, including hardware upgrades
• Support automation programming and software adjustments in collaboration with engineering
• Record and analyze data related to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and maintenance activities
• Support process improvements and assist engineering with process modifications
• Communicate effectively with production, quality, engineering, and management teams
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, EHS standards, and safety-sensitive protocols

Core Skills (Must-Haves):
• Automation control systems
• Robotics hardware and software
• Troubleshooting schematics and manufacturer documentation
• Electronics, mechanics, and control components
• Motion sensors, pneumatic devices, photosensors
• Automation programming support
• Equipment installation and commissioning
• Data collection and root cause analysis

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves):
• Experience with motion control and factory automation software
• Familiarity with PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic)
• Knowledge of networking and industrial communication protocols

Experience Requirements:
• 2-4 years in an industrial automation or technician role

Education:
• Associate’s Degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Bachelor’s Degree
