Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring an Automation Technician for our client. This job involves preparing and assembling mechanical and electrical components for industrial robotic systems, ensuring proper setup and operation of automation equipment. You’ll maintain a clean and safe workstation, help with system installation and maintenance, monitor performance and troubleshoot issues, and support smooth manufacturing operations.What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Manufacturing floor doing mechanical and electrical assembly of industrial robotic work cells.
- The biggest things we look for are a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools, blueprint reading skills, forklift or overhead crane experience.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize automation processes.
- Provide training and support to production staff on the operation of automated systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with automated equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on robotic and automation systems.
- Install, configure, and program automated systems and equipment.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Electrical experience is also good but not required.
- Associate degree in Automation Technology, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in programming and configuring automated systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to automation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
