Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDay in the role
You start your shift by reviewing the production schedule, confirming materials, and preparing the automated lines that cut, profile, trim, wrap, and package flooring trims. You load the correct tooling, perform calibrations, and enter product parameters at the HMI so each run begins within spec. First-article inspections follow—measuring, checking finish, and verifying dimensions before you release the line to full speed.
Throughout the day, you monitor equipment performance and product quality, making proactive adjustments to keep throughput steady. When mechanical, electrical, or process issues pop up, you diagnose quickly to minimize downtime, handle routine fixes yourself, and partner with maintenance for complex repairs. You document batch details, quality checks, downtime events, and maintenance activity in alignment with QMS procedures, and you complete routine preventive tasks—cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections—to keep everything running smoothly.
Quality and engineering count on your feedback. You collaborate on corrective actions, support continuous improvement to reduce waste and variability, and mentor junior operators so skills and consistency rise across the team. Safety is non‑negotiable: you model PPE use and follow lockout/tagout precisely.
