We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Manager to lead our automation strategy at our Ranburne, AL facility, with the opportunity to support and influence operations across all of our sites.
What You Will Do
You will serve as the technical authority for all automated manufacturing equipment. Our production lines run on Siemens control systems (TIA Portal, S7-1500, WinCC), making deep Siemens expertise not just — it is essential. You will manage, train, and develop a team of automation technicians while driving continuous improvement across our Corali, Pendu, Mychrome, and Viking Turbo lines.
You will be responsible for maximizing uptime and output, building and managing capacity planning models, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and leading Lean manufacturing initiatives. As we expand into new markets including Texas, you will play a key role in the technical rollout of new automated lines.
What We Are Looking For
You bring a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation or controls engineering. You have deep, proven expertise with Siemens PLCs and are comfortable both on the shop floor troubleshooting equipment and in the boardroom presenting capacity and performance data to leadership.
Experience with wood processing or packaging equipment such as Pendu, Corali, Mychrome, or Viking is a significant advantage. You are a natural leader who can develop SOPs, mentor technicians, and drive a culture of precision and accountability.
