Automation Engineer in Spokane

Job Description

About the role

Ignitium is a B2B ABM/ABX agency that runs complex, data-driven go-to-market programs for enterprise clients. This role sits within our Innovation team — the group responsible for pushing what's possible with automation, tooling, AI, and GTM technology across both internal operations and client programs.

We’re hiring an Automation & Integrations Manager to own workflow architecture, lead integration delivery, and help establish scalable automation standards and best practices across the organization. You'll operate at the intersection of marketing operations, revenue systems, and engineering — translating GTM requirements into reliable, documented, scalable automation.

This is a hands-on, highly technical role focused on building scalable automation, integrations, and operational processes across the organization. You’ll help manage and support key automation and integration platforms alongside the Director of Emerging Technologies, including platform governance, feature testing, documentation, vendor coordination, and operational best practices.

What you'll own

  • Design, build, and maintain automation workflows across Workato, Zapier, Make, and other integration platforms — including error handling, logging, and alerting
  • Build modular, reusable automation components that can scale across multiple client programs and internal initiatives
  • Audit existing automations for performance, reliability, and error resilience — and own the fixes
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards across workflows, scripts, integrations, SOPs, and internal knowledge bases
  • Partner with GTM, Product, and Technical Support teams to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions
  • Proactively monitor workflow performance, troubleshoot failures, and deploy optimizations
  • Support platform administration and governance for automation tools, including licensing, permissions, usage standards, vendor coordination, platform maintenance, and documentation
  • Stay current on new platform releases, features, and capabilities across automation and AI tooling — and evaluate, test, and recommend adoption opportunities
  • Create and maintain internal documentation, best practices, training resources, and operational processes related to automation platforms
  • Define and uphold standards around automation architecture, naming conventions, monitoring, documentation, and scalability
  • Support automation standards, documentation, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing across teams when needed

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience building and managing automation workflows in a B2B marketing, RevOps, or operations environment
  • Strong production experience with automation platforms such as Workato, Zapier, Make, or similar
  • Experience working with APIs, webhooks, data transformation, and system integrations
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, including formulas, spreadsheet-based workflow management, and integrations between Google Workspace and external platforms.
  • Experience working with BigQuery or other cloud-based data warehouse platforms is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and MAP platforms — Marketo (strongly ), HubSpot, and Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management experience
  • Sharp problem-solving instincts — you investigate root causes and build long-term solutions, not temporary patches
  • Experience building error handling, retry logic, logging, and alerting into production workflows
  • Ability to write and maintain clean technical documentation and SOPs
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting contexts in a fast-moving agency environment
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technology, AI tooling, and automation platforms
