Automation Engineer

What You'll Do
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, industrial robots, and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Create new automation programs from scratch while improving and optimizing existing systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to develop innovative automation solutions.
- Design and integrate sensors, actuators, controls hardware, and electrical systems for new equipment.
- Support machine wiring, installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Develop controls schematics and documentation to support machine assembly and maintenance.
- Integrate automated equipment with manufacturing and ERP systems.
- Analyze production data and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, robotic, and controls-related issues on the production floor.
- Support ongoing automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects throughout the facility.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of automation, controls, robotics, or PLC programming experience.
- Experience programming PLCs and industrial robots in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ladder logic and industrial automation principles.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience supporting automated equipment, machine integration, and production operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments .
Qualifications
- Experience with industrial robotics (Epson experience is a plus).
- Associate Degree, Technical Certification, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Experience with ERP integration, data collection, and manufacturing analytics.
- Familiarity with HMI development, sensors, actuators, servo systems, and machine controls.
