We are looking for:
Automation Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical: The ideal candidate will be someone who has broad experience, enjoys working with their hands, and is excellent at trouble shooting, diagnosing and resolving issues. This position will report to the Assembly Group Manager and work closely with the President, CEO, and owner of the company who is also the company’s lead engineer. As part of the Assembly Group, this person will assist in the building, programing and on-site servicing of the Eagle product line of machines. All Eagle machines are dependent on the seamless interaction of mechanical and electrical components controlled through in-house designed software.
Specific requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience on the following:
o Programable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
o Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s)
· Detailed understanding of:
o Various Contactors, Electrical components, and Analog vs Digital signals
o Single phase vs 3 phase power requirements.
o Servos, steppers and gearmotors.
o Relays, time delay relays, touch screens (HMI) and software (HMI).
· Ability to:
o Program software (HMI)
o Design and program touch screens (HMI)
o To read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
o To provide technical support and training to other staff members.
o To multi-task – critical in a small company where sometimes many hats need to be worn.
· A willingness to travel, domestically and internationally.
· Desire to collaborate with the Engineering Group to improve design and efficiency.
· Good interpersonal skills given the client interfacing component of this position.
