Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFoxconn Houston is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing on-site technical support to customers. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, with responsibilities including equipment installation, adjustment, testing, training, and after-sales support. The position will also involve business trips across North America.
Job Responsibilities Include:
After Service (50%):
- Continuously improve machine and process efficiencies.
- Implement engineering solutions for manufacturing equipment based on customer-requested changes.
- Identifying quality issues and writing reports and eliminate the problem.
New Equipment (40%):
- Collaborate with multiple teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and other technical personnel, to jointly resolve problems based on customers' process requirements and product specifications.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at the equipment manufacturing site and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at customer locations to ensure the equipment operates efficiently, smoothly, and reliably.
- Work on equipment control systems, robot control, equipment I/O, and basic machine coding logic.
- Conduct hands-on installation, adjustment, and testing of equipment.
Others (10%):
- Develop equipment manual and provide training to customers.
- Other Duties as assigned
Education Requirements and Ideal Experience Includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering
- 1+ years of experience working with automation equipment is highly desired.
- Familiar with hand tools usage/maintenance and proper safety conscious.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Strong customer service/satisfaction attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- AutoCAD, Solid Works, PLC skills are .
