Are you passionate about designing and implementing automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and drive innovation? We’re looking for a hands-on Automation Engineer to join our team in Cary, IL. This role will focus on automation system design, PLC programming, and equipment integration within a high-speed production environment.
What You’ll Do

• Design, program, and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLC controls (Allen-Bradley required; Siemens a plus).
• Lead automation projects that improve quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency across production.
• Integrate robotics, sensors, and new technologies into existing equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and training to technicians.
• Support production by diagnosing and resolving controls/automation issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and process optimization.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of automation engineering experience (high-speed assembly or production ).
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley required; Siemens a plus).
• Experience with robotics, machine building, and process integration a plus.
• Skilled in blueprint interpretation, process troubleshooting, and project management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
