Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to deliver high-quality programmable control systems (PLCs, Robots, HMIs, etc.) from concept through to customer handover and support. This role involves hands-on commissioning, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and contributing to digital innovation within automation systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and integrate PLC, HMI, Robot, Safety, Drive, Vision, and SCADA systems.\nProduce Functional Design Specifications (FDS) based on client requirements.\nSupport hardware design selection (e.g., ePLAN, Pneumatics).\nConduct virtual and on-site commissioning of automation systems.\nConfigure and test networking and distributed I/O systems (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP).\nEnsure compliance with safety protocols and produce CE documentation.\nLead FAT/SAT activities and conduct training during system handover.\nProvide after-sales technical support and assist with warranty claims.\nPromote and integrate Industry 4.0 technologies.\nMentor junior engineers and support training initiatives.\nEssential Skills & Experience:\n\nMinimum 2 years' experience in automation engineering with strong integration background.\nProficiency in:\n\nPLC/HMI Programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell, Beckhoff)\nSafety Systems (TIA Safety, Rockwell, Pilz)\nRobot Programming (ABB, Fanuc, Kawasaki)\nDrive & Vision Systems (Siemens, SEW, Bosch, Cognex, Keyence)\n\nExcellent communication, project management, and time-management skills.\nWillingness to travel and work flexibly across locations.\nPaid hourly overtime. \nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nHNC or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.\nRecognised vendor training (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB).\nElectrical engineering background .\nDesirable Skills:\n\nElectrical design (ePLAN P8), Pneumatics (Festo FluidDraw)\nSCADA programming\nFamiliarity with industrial standards (e.g., SICAR, PackML)
