Become a key player as an Automation Engineer:
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to take a leading role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge automation solutions. This position is responsible for overseeing capital equipment projects from concept through commissioning, working alongside a talented team to deliver high-performance web handling and film converting machinery. Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:
- Develop and implement control systems using Rockwell and/or Beckhoff PLCs, ensuring optimal automation performance
- Design electrical schematics and diagrams with Solidworks Electrical and AutoCAD
- Configure and program Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, including PanelView and/or Optix, to enhance operational usability
- Integrate and optimize robotics controls for Fanuc and Yamaha robots within automated systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation processes for product handling, case packing, cartoning, palletizing, and inspection systems
- Troubleshoot, debug, and refine control systems to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime
- Provide technical expertise to operations and maintenance teams, ensuring smooth automation functionality
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for electrical and control systems to meet compliance standards
- Travel as needed for installations, system commissioning, and customer support
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field
- 5+ years in automation engineering with a proven ability to develop and integrate control systems
- Proficiency in Rockwell and/or Beckhoff PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with robotics integration, particularly Fanuc and Yamaha systems
- Strong knowledge of automation in product handling, case packing, palletizing, and custom machine building
- Expertise in Solidworks Electrical and AutoCAD for electrical design
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for installations and customer support
Pay Range:
$120,000 - $130,000 annually
