Automation Door Engineer – Long-Term Temporary Contract\n\nLocation: Based in Exeter – Covering the South West Region\nContract Type: Long-Term Rolling (Outside IR35)\nPay Rate: £36–£38 per hour (Weekly Pay)\n\nV7 Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading provider in the fire and security industry. Our client has secured a major long-term public sector contract covering over 1000 sites and 4,500+ assets across the UK. As a result, we’re seeking experienced Automation Door Engineers for service and maintenance work across public sector sites in the South West, based out of Exeter.\n\nThe Role\n\n * Work Type: Service and Maintenance\n\n * Assets:\n\n * Auto Doors: Swing, Slide, Bi-Fold Systems\n\n * Shutter Doors: Roller Shutters, Sectional Overhead\n\n * Barriers & Gates: Including FAAC, CAME, RECORD, ASSA ABLOY, GAZE, TORMAX system\n\nRequirements\n\n * Proven experience with service and maintenance of automatic doors, shutters, gates, and barrier systems\n\n * Qualifications (Desirable):\n\n * ADSA (Automatic Doors)\n\n * DHF (Powered Gates)\n\n * Gate Safe certification\n\n * ADIA/ADSA Training\n\n * Valid DBS check (or willing to obtain)\n\n * Experience on commercial/public sector sites\n\nKey Benefits\n\n * Long-term contract with coverage and large-scale scope\n\n * Monday–Friday working schedule (weekend overtime available)\n\n * 6-month rolling contract – part of a 3-year project\n\n * Outside IR35 – Paid weekly (Fridays)\n\n * Opportunity for continuous work and skill development
