Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the conception, implementation, and launch of automation systems unique to food manufacturing, prioritizing Allen Bradley architectures.
- Navigate risk assessments and safety analyses, ensuring systems are compliant with industry standards.
- Optimize automation in sectors like mixing, packaging, and quality control for heightened efficiency.
- Coordinate automation projects ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and specific requirements.
- Offer guidance in integration, diagnostic repair, and process enhancement.
- Prepare and evaluate comprehensive documentation, encompassing specifications and testing procedures.
- Execute on-site system startups, ensuring regulatory and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to meet quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor emerging engineers, fostering an environment of support and growth.
- Serve as a technical liaison, addressing issues and overseeing project fulfillment.
- Conduct vigorous systems assessments to meet safety and performance metrics.
- Pioneer continuous improvement strategies for automation systems.
- Travel extensively to support and implement projects globally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years in automation within the food manufacturing landscape.
- Extensive Allen Bradley PLC experience and exposure to various platforms like Siemens and Beckhoff.
- Experience in Ethernet/IP, SCADA, and kindred systems .
- Competent in MS Project, AutoCAD, and related project and design software.
- Strong grasp of electrical engineering and in-depth knowledge of control standards.
- Excellent leadership abilities with proven mentorship track record.
- Ready for domestic and international travel as required.
