Currently Hiring a Electrical & Mechanical System Designer

Project Duration: 30 days with potential for temp-to-hire

Location: Houston, TX 77073 (near IAH)

Pay: $45-$55/ hour DOE

Schedule: M-F 7am-4pm IN OFFICE

  • Looking for an mechanical and electrical system designer with 5 or more years experience to design offshore rig housing structures.
  • Must be able to handle the design package, provide redlines for corrections, and put into drawing format for submittal.
  • Must have experience with CAD, Indenture, and other design software.
  • The initial project is 30 days but this position has potential to be temp-to hire for the correct candidate.

Qualifications

  • CAD
  • Indenture Software
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in both electrical and mechanical design.
  • Must pass background and drug screen
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Creo.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce system design documentation that aligns with project requirements and industry codes like NEC ( Electrical Code).
  • Create 3D models and visualizations of electrical systems using NavisWorks and Revit to facilitate coordination across construction phases.
  • Design electrical systems for various applications, including power distribution, lighting, control panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Prepare detailed drawings for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts and electrical wiring diagrams for manufacturing or construction purposes.
  • Conduct system analysis, review schematics, and ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
  • Support construction teams by providing technical guidance on layout design, installation procedures, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
