Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Drafter with a strong background in designing for conveyance and automation systems. In this role, you will produce accurate, build-ready electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to transform conceptual designs and specifications into precise, fabrication-ready documentation that supports industrial automation and material handling systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Create and update electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams in AutoCAD.

Design systems related to conveyor automation, material handling, and industrial automation.

Collaborate with engineers to convert technical sketches and requirements into detailed CAD drawings.

Maintain version control and ensure compliance with internal drawing and documentation standards.

Support documentation for panel fabrication, procurement, and field installation
Requirements:

3+ years of experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Proven experience designing for conveyance systems, automated machinery, or material handling solutions.

Solid understanding of industrial automation design principles.

Ability to read and interpret engineering specs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational habits and documentation discipline.

Associate degree or technical certificate in Electrical Design, Drafting, or related field

Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, and motor control centers (MCCs)

Material handling system experience is a plus

Experience with Revit, Navisworks, or 3D/BIM tools is a bonus

Experience with control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, or schematics.

Exposure to automation, material handling, or packaging industries.
