Arkansas Talent Group is searching for an experienced Audit Manager who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing audit engagements of client financial statements in accordance with professional standards (such as GAAP and GAAS), internal controls, and applicable laws and regulations. This leadership role involves managing a team of audit professionals, maintaining client relationships, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables, and making recommendations to improve client systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and deadlines.
- Oversee and train audit staff, provide technical guidance, and ensure professional development.
- Review work papers and financial statements; ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation and disclosures.
- Assess risk areas and tailor audit approach accordingly.
- Communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations to clients and firm leadership; prepare and present audit reports.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and participate in business development.
- Ensure partners, clients, and staff remain informed regarding changes in regulations and industry practices.
- Foster relationships with clients, maintaining exceptional client service standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Extensive experience in public accounting/auditing, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and relevant regulations.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in audit/accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience at a mid to large public accounting firm.
- Familiarity with industry-specific audit methodologies and software tools.
