In this position, you'll be responsible for developing and executing audit plans that safeguard our organization's assets, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote ethical practices across all departments. You'll guide and mentor a dedicated audit team, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices to identify risks, recommend controls, and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate is adept at building strong stakeholder relationships, communicating findings clearly, and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability throughout the credit union.

What You'll Do:
· Develop and execute the annual risk-based audit plan.
· Perform or supervise financial, operational, and compliance, audits across all departments.
· Maintain a comprehensive understanding of credit union operations, products, and services.
· Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance processes.
· Prepare clear, concise, and well-organized audit reports and dashboards.
· Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in internal audit.
· Coordinate with external auditors.
· Provides documentation and responds to information requests from regulatory examiners.
· Build a high performing team through individual development and coaching, ensuring employees are well equipped and have the tools and resources needed to perform their jobs to the fullest.
· Evaluate the job performance of department employees to ensure quality service to members and adherence to credit union policies.
· Assist with the development and monitoring of the department's budget for personnel, equipment, and supplies.
· Prepare reports, assess service effectiveness, and monitor office activity.
· Collaborate with other departments and leaders to drive the organization's strategic objectives.
· Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, government regulations, and laws.

Your Experience Includes:
· Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree .
· Experience: Two to four years of similar or related experience required, preferably with demonstrated success with increasing levels of responsibility.
· Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email/IM, Teams, and Zoom, as well as various software programs specifically designed for the role.
· Other Requirements: Professional interpersonal skills, extensive knowledge of the credit union movement, high level of integrity and dependability, prior leadership experience, intermediate mathematical skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
Expected Starting Salary Range: $68,600-84,700 based on experience and location
