Location: San Antonio, TX (Relocation Required)
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience; Base Range $85,000–$115,000; Total Compensation $115,000–$150,000Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience in oil and gas title examination. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting title opinions and related instruments, with opportunities to expand into renewable energy and landowner representation.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct oil and gas title examinations, including:
    1. Original Drilling Title Opinions
    2. Division Order Title Opinions
    3. Supplemental Title Opinions
    4. Letter Opinions
  2. Draft curative instruments, conveyancing instruments, and joint operating agreements.
  3. () Review and analyze client files to support ongoing matters (applicable for candidates with 2–3 years of experience).
  4. Provide legal support on matters involving land and mineral rights.
  5. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of projects.

/Additional Experience:

  1. Renewable energy projects and/or landowner representation.
  2. Reviewing complex files and identifying title issues (for experienced candidates).

Qualifications:

  1. J.D. from an accredited law school.
  2. Active license to practice law in Texas (or ability to become licensed promptly).
  3. 1–3 years of relevant legal experience in oil and gas title examination.
  4. Strong research, drafting, and communication skills.
  5. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
