Job Description
Assurance Manager: Estimating and Cost Advisory \nLocation(s): Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, London or Glasgow \n Hybrid Working: 2-3 Days a Week On-Site (Either Office or Client Site)\nSalary: Circa £55,000–£70,000, Depending on Experience \n \nProvide estimating and cost advisory as an Assurance Manager to this large engineering consultancy.\n \nThis organisation allows you to tailor the benefits package to suit your needs; benefits include hybrid working options, double-matched pension, medical and dental insurance, and so forth.\n \nYou will have a chance to work on a variety of projects across infrastructure, transport and energy sectors within the UK and internationally.\n \nKey responsibilities:\n\nSupport assurance and advisory service delivery, focusing on reviewing major projects and niche projects across the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on capital costs.\nWork across assurance reviews of various types, focusing on cost and project deliverability across the project lifecycle from early-stage feasibility design to project close-out.\nProvide technical leadership for the delivery of high-quality client deliverables, ranging from data analysis models to reports and informative dashboards or presentations.\nContribute to the highly effective communication of key findings and recommendations to senior clients and wider stakeholders. \nAbout you:\n\nAn understanding of typical client approaches to applying contingency and awareness of global thought leadership in the area of cost estimating, cost forecasting and setting up projects (or resetting projects) for success.\nChartership with or demonstrably working towards RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar.\nStrong technical expertise in project development and delivery, with a specialism and demonstrable background in managing and understanding costs.\nWider understanding of commercial and contractual requirements\nStrong knowledge of indirect costs, cost breakdown structures and techniques to analyse and assess project deliverability.\nStakeholder engagement skills, including being able to work seamlessly with designers, engineers, project managers and clients. \nDue to the nature of work at our client’s site, these vacancies are only open to those who hold SC clearance or can obtain it.
