Seeking applications for an Entry Level Designer to work one of our substation designs teams. Mesa provides great benefits, good career path, and competitive salaries.
Candidate must have or be close to graduation from an accredited college of engineering. An electrical and or engineering technology associate degree is but other degrees will be considered on a case by case application. Focus of work will be in substation design including relay protection and controls as well as station arrangements and layout. Any experience in the electric utility would be a plus but not mandatory. At least 5 years of CAD/drafting experience .
Work will mainly be in an office setting with site visits likely with some travel. Specific training will be provided with a focus on quality and safety.
Education/Experience
- AS in Engineering Technology – or related major
- Entry Level – no previous experience required
Responsibilities:
- Candidate will need the ability to perform monitored site visits.
- Candidate will need the ability to work 40 hours a week.
- Candidate will be expected to produce designs under the direction of senior engineers.
- Candidate shall work in our Knoxville TN office when required to be in office. Remote options are available, but candidate must be willing to make arrangements to be in office at team leaders' discretion.
- Candidate shall work in a team atmosphere so any team experience would be a plus.
