Associate Structural Engineer\nBirmingham | £65,000 - £75,000 + Hybrid + Benefits\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nA growing multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Structural Engineer to strengthen its Birmingham team. This position offers a clear progression route, technical authority within the structures group, and the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of building projects.\n\nThe Role\n\n * Lead structural engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery\n\n * Manage small design teams and provide technical oversight, mentoring and support\n\n * Review and approve calculations, drawings and design documentation\n\n * Coordinate with architects and wider design teams to develop integrated and efficient solutions\n\n * Contribute to bids, proposals, submissions and client presentations\n\n * Maintain strong client relationships and secure repeat work\n\n * Promote sustainable, low-carbon, future-proof design principles across all projects\n\nAbout You\n\n * Chartered or near-Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStructE/ICE or equivalent)\n\n * Strong technical background in steel, concrete and mixed-material building structures\n\n * Experience leading projects within a consultancy environment\n\n * Comfortable managing budgets, programmes and commercial elements\n\n * Strong communicator, confident working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams\n\n * Committed to quality, sustainability and innovative engineering\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Competitive salary with annual reviews\n\n * 26 days holiday + bank holidays (with the option to buy or sell additional days)\n\n * Hybrid working policy\n\n * Support for professional memberships and continued development\n\n * Life assurance and a range of flexible benefits\n\n * Wellbeing support, including mental-health resources\n\n * Opportunity to work across varied sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and regeneration
