Position Overview

Tonix Pharmaceuticals is seeking a motivated Associate Scientist with a strong foundation in cell biology and immunology to join our dynamic R&D team. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with hands-on laboratory experience and a demonstrated passion for therapeutic development, especially in immunological and cell-based assays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform immunological studies such as flow cytometry and cell-based immunological readout to study responses to vaccines, autoimmune disorders, and oncology processes.
  • Design and perform cell culture experiments using both cancer cell lines and primary human cell lines.
  • Execute and optimize co-culture functional assays for immunotherapy applications (e.g., TCR, bispecific evaluation).
  • Perform ELISA, flow cytometry, HLA quantification, RT-qPCR, and other immunological and molecular assays.
  • Conduct RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and cell viability assays
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data using GraphPad Prism and R.
  • Maintain detailed lab records and contribute to scientific reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate across teams to support preclinical therapeutic development and assay validation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field (e.g., Immunology, Molecular Biology).
  • Proven experience with mammalian cell culture, immune cell manipulation, and molecular techniques.
  • Research or academic lab experience in immunological assays and cell-based studies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Passion for working in a collaborative, fast-paced biotech or pharmaceutical environment.

  • Experience with flow cytometry or cryopreservation methods.
  • Exposure to immune profiling, macrophage polarization, or cytokine assessment.
  • Familiarity with scientific writing, poster presentations, or manuscript development.
