Our client is seeking a motivated Associate Quality Engineer to join its growing manufacturing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to build a long-term career in quality engineering while working closely with experienced manufacturing, engineering, and quality professionals.

\n

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of quality or manufacturing experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry or exposure to automotive quality systems is highly .

Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Support quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations.
  • \n

  • Investigate product and process quality issues and assist with root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • \n

  • Prepare and maintain 8D reports and coordinate problem-solving activities with headquarters and suppliers.
  • \n

  • Communicate with internal teams, headquarters, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.
  • \n

  • Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • \n

  • Assist with maintaining quality documentation, procedures, and records.
  • \n

  • Support internal quality audits, supplier audits, and customer quality requirements.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
  • \n

  • Support inspection activities, measurement methods, quality standards, and process improvements.
  • \n

  • Participate in new product launches, process validation, and other quality-related activities.
  • \n

  • Assist with supplier and manufacturing quality activities as needed.
  • \n

  • Support continuous improvement and help ensure products and processes meet established quality requirements.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • \n

  • 1–2 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of fundamental quality and problem-solving tools, including:
  • \n

  • Root Cause Analysis
  • \n

  • 5 Why
  • \n

  • Fishbone/Ishikawa Analysis
  • \n

  • Pareto Analysis
  • \n

  • Experience using basic quality inspection and measurement equipment, such as calipers, scales, gauges, or similar tools.
  • \n

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • \n

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established quality processes and procedures.
  • \n

Qualifications

    \n
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or a similar highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality standards.
  • \n

  • Exposure to automotive quality core tools such as:
  • \n

  • APQP
  • \n

  • PPAP
  • \n

  • FMEA
  • \n

  • MSA
  • \n

  • Control Plans
  • \n

  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • \n

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • \n

  • Experience working with suppliers on quality issues or corrective actions.
  • \n

  • Exposure to supplier or customer quality audits.
  • \n
