Criterion Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing organization as an entry-level Associate Project Engineer based in Reno, NV.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launchpad for future leaders at Criterion Contracting. It's a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Conduct safety meetings

\n

• Create and manage punch lists

\n

• Support the Quality Control Measures outlined in Criterion Contracting’s QA/QC program

\n

• Prepare RFI’s and submittals

\n

• Determine labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance

\n

• Conduct quantitative takeoffs for material ordering

\n

• Support the implementation of the job schedule

\n

• Coordinate warranties and Operations and Maintenance (O&Ms)

\n

• Coordinate material with purchase orders and invoicing

\n

\n

This position is safety-sensitive.

\n

\n

Basic Requirements

\n

\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)

\n

• A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings

\n

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

\n

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

\n

• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught

\n

• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities

\n

• Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

\n

• Ability to multitask

\n

• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative

\n

• Works well under pressure and deadlines

\n

• Undergraduate or associate's degree completed or underway; plus for studying engineering, business, construction management or similar

\n

\n

• Willing to travel (locally) based on project needs
