Associate Price Reporter, Americas Oil
S&P Global Commodity Insights is the leading provider of energy pricing, news, and analytics. We are seeking an Associate Price Reporter, Americas Oil, to contribute to our US residual fuel oil and bunker fuel market coverage. The position is based in our Houston office. This price-reporting position is a great opportunity for someone to make a difference in a key part of the company's front-line operations. The role also offers a chance to gain experience in a dynamic part of the energy sphere during a transition toward alternative marine fuels.
Responsibilities and Impact:
As a price reporter on the Americas oil team you will contribute to daily market coverage, including daily price assessments, commentary, news and analysis.
Have a contributing role in our bunker fuel market coverage in the region, providing an opportunity to engage with stakeholders in the industry.
Build relationships with market sources through ongoing communication and formal engagements.
Contribute to methodology changes and development of new price assessments.
Thought leadership including presentations, blog posts, and video-based media.
Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of how Platts assesses and covers Americas oil markets. This is to ensure that Platts processes are applied consistently and accurately.
Wider knowledge of US oil trade and markets.
Working to intra-day deadlines in high-pressure environments. Our processes are daily, and we have frequent intraday deadlines.
Accuracy under time pressure. It is critical that we deliver accurate assessments to the market consistently.

Spanish or Portuguese skills
