Associate Mechanical Engineer – Building Services (MEP)\n\n Location: London Office\n Business Type: Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy\n Employment Type: Full-Time\n Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)\n Salary: £75k - £85k per annum\n\n About The Role\n\n There is an opportunity for an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. They are known for designing sustainable, low-carbon, and people-centred building environments. This is a senior role for an engineer who enjoys leading complex projects, managing client relationships, and guiding a team of building services professionals.\n\n They work across a wide variety of projects in the UK and internationally, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, leisure, education, heritage, and cultural developments.

Staff have the chance to gain experience on international projects and broaden their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\n Project and Client Leadership\n\nLead a portfolio of Mechanical Building Services projects from concept to completion.\nAct as the primary client contact on key projects.\nEnsure projects are delivered to the highest technical, programme, and commercial standards.\nPrepare proposals, presentations, and manage project fees.\nBuild strong, long-term client relationships.\nTeam Leadership and Development\n\nLead and mentor a team of engineers.\nOversee day-to-day workflow, resource planning, and team coordination.\nSupport senior engineers’ development while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and training.\nTechnical Expertise\n\nAct as a specialist in Mechanical Building Services Engineering.\nProvide expert guidance on design strategy, procurement, risk management, and technical challenges.\nApply strong analytical and design skills across a variety of MEP systems and building types.\nPromote best practice in digital delivery, CAD, and BIM processes.\nBusiness Development and Strategy\n\nSupport client development and contribute to securing new opportunities.\nRepresent them at meetings, pitches, and industry events.\nContribute to strategic initiatives and process improvements.\n \n About You\n\nChartered Engineer with 10+ years’ experience in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.\nProven record delivering MEP systems across different building types.\nExperienced as a Project Engineer or Project Lead.\nStrong communicator, confident presenting to clients and leading multidisciplinary teams.\nComfortable managing commercial and financial aspects of projects.\n\n Benefits\n\nCompetitive salary with hybrid working\nOpportunities for professional development and chartership support\nFlexible working arrangements and wellbeing initiatives\nSocial events, team-building activities, and international project experience\nPlease contact David Hilditch at RGB Network for more information on this Associate Mechanical Engineer vacancy, or apply here now
