What you will do -As the Associate Manager, Engineering - Assembly you will provide overall department direction to a team of manufacturing engineers, process technicians, and maintenance professionals. You will work on process development and control for new and existing processes/products to drive improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost throughout the Stryker Medical Assembly department.Additional responsibilities: Handle new employee recruiting Develop and direct Engineering team resources in the assembly department Help develop and prioritize goals and metrics for the Engineering department Conduct performance reviews based on goals and metrics for the department Coach and develop manufacturing engineers, process technicians, and maintenance professionals Be responsible for manufacturing engineers complying with company policies and corrective actionsBe responsible for development and maintenance of operating procedures and basic instruction Develop and manage department budgets Help with Capital plan and developmentPlans, organize, and sets goals for the manufacturing engineering function to best utilize personnelTrain others on manufacturing systems and proceduresWill submit periodic reports on areas of responsibilityMay assist subcontractors in resolving manufacturing and quality related issuesMay assist customers in resolving product issuesWhat you need - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required 6+ years of work experience required 1+ years of previous people management experience - highly preferred Experience working in a manufacturing environment - highly preferred Project Management experience - preferred
