Location: Central London

Salary: £60,000 – £85,000 (DOE)



A prestigious international multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an Associate Infrastructure Engineer to join and help lead their growing civils team in London.



Currently a team of 10—including graduates, mid-level and senior engineers, senior technicians, and led by the Civils Director—the team is expanding with a view to doubling in size by the end of 2026.



About the Role:



This consultancy delivers innovative civil engineering design solutions for a range of projects including building developments, highways, and public realm schemes—from early-stage master planning through to on-site delivery. They also lead on infrastructure masterplanning and flood risk management.



As an Associate Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality infrastructure designs across roads, drainage, and flood risk for both building and public realm projects.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead infrastructure design on masterplanning projects across sectors such as regeneration, aviation, industrial, and large-scale developments.

Deliver Flood Risk Assessments, surface and foul water drainage strategies, and sustainable urban drainage designs (including green roofs, swales, attenuation systems, etc.) in line with relevant planning policy, Building Regulations Part L, and Sewers for Adoption.

Engage with water authorities to obtain S104 and S106 statutory approvals.

Design roads and access routes in accordance with MfS and DMRB standards; secure S38/S278 approvals from local/highway authorities.

Develop detailed designs for utilities planning, road layouts, level strategies, earthworks, drainage, pavement, and road signage/marking.

Produce and review design documentation for approval by the Associate Director.



About You:



Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE)

Strong track record in infrastructure delivery across multiple project stages

Proven ability to liaise with regulatory authorities for approvals

Confident leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing deliverables

10 years of experience on a permanent basis
