Saturna Capital is seeking a professional, responsible, and reliable Associate Financial Planner to support our Investment Advisory Services department. This individual will deliver superior customer service to both clients and prospects, thriving in a fast-paced environment with diverse responsibilities across the Client Services team and the broader organization
Location: Bellingham, WA
Wage Range: $75,748.84 - $108,212.63
Primary duties include:
- Perform moderately complex administrative and operational tasks within the Brokerage Client Support area.
- Handle telephone inquiries and requests for report research and account issues.
- Establish and maintain files for regulatory requirements.
- Meet departmental goals related to financial plans and new Assets Under Management (AUM), including management of a book of business.
- Create and maintain reports, databases, and records to grow client and prospect relationships.
- Educate clients and prospects on account services and financial planning capabilities.
- Research and resolve complex operational or administrative issues.
- Facilitate accurate and timely account setup, money movement, and investment trades.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s or MBA .
- CFP Charter Holder.
- 2-5 years of experience in financial planning or related roles.
- Strong customer service and prior sales experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Apple products is a plus.
- Ability to obtain FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses within the first nine months of employment.
- Knowledge of financial products and personal finance.
- Candidates must be able to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements such as a logic test, fingerprints, criminal background and credit check, drug screening and reference check
