Job Description

Associate Façade Engineer – London (Hybrid, 1 Day from Home)

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Experience: 10+ years

We are seeking an Associate Façade Engineer with a strong structural background and a proven track record delivering technically challenging new builds and complex façade remediation schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional ready to step into a leadership role, managing projects from concept through to completion while mentoring junior engineers and liaising directly with clients, architects, and contractors.

The Role

• Lead façade and structural design projects, taking ownership from inception to delivery.
• Produce and review structural and façade design calculations.
• Attend and chair client, design, and coordination meetings.
• Conduct site inspections, providing technical input and resolving on-site challenges.
• Manage project teams, ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery.
• Support business development, proposals, and client relationship management.
• Contribute to strategic planning and operational improvement initiatives within the business.

Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of experience in façade engineering with a solid understanding of structural principles.
• Confident leading client meetings and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled at balancing technical, commercial, and managerial responsibilities.
• Degree-qualified (MSc ) in Structural, Civil, or Façade Engineering.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership (IStructE, CIBSE, ICE, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of façade systems, materials, manufacturing, and installation methods.
