This Senior-level Engineering position in the Ronkonkoma office is ideal for a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer. The position partners the candidate with the senior executive staff in the Ronkonkoma office to further an extraordinary MEP group positioned for growth.

The candidate will be responsible for the overall E & FA work product produced by the E & FA Department. Acts as a senior leader within the company by taking accountability and ownership of the firm’s profitability and quality in conjunction with all management and leaders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Cultivate and build strong market presence by participating in marketing and business development meetings.
• Develop NY clientele to increase project sales cycle possibilities
• Generate leads, garner RFP’s, write proposals, and participate in interviews and marketing presentations.
• Build relationships with clients and owners in order to sell projects directly.
• Provide Project Management on select high profile and key projects within the office/enterprise.
• Provide value across the Emtec offices as a technical resource and leadership.
• Interact with senior management on strategic issues.
• Office lead for E & FA Department to assist in staffing schedules and workloads
• Perform high level enterprise Quality Control on projects.
• Develop, retain and hire new staff, identifying future candidates for promotion and succession.
• Annual performance reviews for your staff, with regular interim follow-up on performance.
• Establish technical growth goals for each staff member and help them achieve those goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• PE in New York State, other states are a plus
• Solid experience in commercial engineering consultancy
• Strong people management
• Proven leader of people across a matrix organization
• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience as a professional in engineering consulting
• Experience in the NY/NYC market is strongly
