Associate Electrical Engineer – Contract Role
Location: Geneva, Ohio (Onsite)
Pay: $45–$47 per hour
Employment Type: 3–6-month contract
Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. ; pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
Our client is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to support senior engineering staff in the development, implementation, and sustainment of electro-mechanical systems for Military and Defense applications. This role will contribute to the design and testing of environmental control units (ECUs), CBRN protection systems, and heater technologies used daily by military personnel and emergency responders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support electrical design activities including circuits, components, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Develop electrical layouts from specification and requirement packages.
- Create schematic layouts, documentation, assembly drawings, and wire lists for cables and wiring harnesses.
- Assist in testing environmental control units, CBRN protection systems, heaters, and related technologies.
- Record, analyze, interpret, and present test data to support design improvements and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical rationale and analysis to support design releases.
- Track and report progress on assigned tasks while meeting schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
- Follow Engineering Playbook standards and participate in team initiatives.
- Apply design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture-and-assembly principles.
- Travel to other company locations as required.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (Bachelor’s degree ).
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar technical role.
- Experience in military/defense applications .
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with digital circuits, PCB components, and PCB manufacturing is a plus.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tools .
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence with PC-based tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP experience .
