Job Title: Associate Civil Engineer\n\nRef. No.: CJD(phone number removed)B\n\nLocation: London\n\nSalary: £60,000 - £70,000\n\nThis is an outstanding opportunity to join my client, a newly-established, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of building an industry-leading team of design experts in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a talented, enthusiastic Associate Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design who is willing to win, manage, and successfully deliver an array of challenging projects.

You will have a hand in building and leading a fresh-faced team of design engineers, based in the thriving, cultural Capital City of London.\n\nBenefits for the role of Associate Civil Engineer include (but are not limited to):\n\n- Highly-competitive salary (commensurate with experience)\n\n- Employee Pension Scheme\n\n- Generous annual leave entitlement\n\n- Dedication to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD)\n\n- Opportunities to win and deliver a wide range of engineering projects across the region and beyond\n\n- Proactively influencing the developmental direction of the company\n\nResponsibilities for the role of Associate Civil Engineer include:\n\n- Winning, managing, and delivering a number of exciting projects and developments\n\n- Taking responsibility for a newly-established team of Civil Engineering professionals, mentoring them and overseeing their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) throughout their careers\n\n- Overseeing all aspects of engineering projects, including budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, and successful delivery/implementation\n\n- Winning a range of residential, commercial, and industrial projects\n\n- Managing important professional relations with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors\n\n- Preparing, checking, and submitting reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, method statements, and other technical documents\n\n- Enforcing company policies, procedures, ensuring all colleagues adhere to best practice\n\n- Upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times\n\n- Contributing to the company's business development strategies, acting as a trusted, go-to representative during client meetings, site visits, etc.\n\nRequired skills and experience for the role of Associate Civil Engineer include:\n\nA UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant discipline\nChartered Status with a recognised Professional Body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, etc.)\nExtensive experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK consultancy\nDemonstrable experience of working with water-based non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, water treatment works, etc.)\nExperience of detailed drainage and civil engineering design\nProficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)\nConsiderable experience of writing, checking, and amending reports for submission\nPrior experience of managing projects and people within the sector\nExperience of managing client and stakeholder relations\nConfidence in winning diverse projects across the region, and being able to successfully deliver on these to the highest of standards\nOutstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills\nHold a full, valid UK driving licence \n\nDesirable skills and experience for the role of Associate Civil Engineer include:\n\nA UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant discipline\nExperience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments\nExperience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)\nExperience of working in a public-facing role \n\nIf you are interested in the role of Associate Civil Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
