Associate / Associate Partner – Healthcare Planner\nStrategic Leadership Role | Client-Facing | Business Development Focus\n£75,000 – £95,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits | Flexible Working Available\nFor experienced professionals from a consultancy or client-side background\n\nWe are working in partnership with a market-leading, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy to appoint an Associate / Associate Partner level Healthcare Planner. This is a key strategic role within their expanding healthcare and life sciences team, focusing on estate strategy, master planning, and business case development for some of the UK’s most significant healthcare and pharmaceutical infrastructure programmes.\n\nThis role is ideal for a client-side or consultancy-based Project Manager or Strategic Advisor with deep experience in the planning and delivery of healthcare estates — and who is now looking to step further into strategic advisory, client engagement, and project-winning responsibilities.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nAs a senior member of the team, you will help shape healthcare environments that are operationally efficient, future-ready, and compliant with evolving clinical and technical requirements. You’ll work closely with NHS trusts, private providers, and pharmaceutical clients — developing strategic planning documents, advising on transformation and redesign programmes, and directly contributing to winning new work and growing key client accounts.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nStrategic Advisory & Planning\n\nLead the development of estate strategies and masterplans for NHS trusts, private hospitals, and pharmaceutical organisations.\nSupport service redesign, capital planning, and feasibility studies that inform investment decisions.\nProduce high-quality strategic outline and full business cases to secure approval and funding.\nAdvise clients at the earliest project stages, shaping briefs and aligning objectives with and local healthcare strategies.\nClient Engagement & Relationship Management\n\nAct as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and estates leads.\nLead user engagement workshops to ensure planning outcomes reflect operational and clinical needs.\nCultivate and maintain long-term relationships across both public and private healthcare sectors.\nDesign Collaboration & Compliance Oversight\n\nCollaborate with design teams to optimise clinical layouts, lab environments, and pharmaceutical facilities.\nEnsure compliance with NHS guidelines, clinical safety standards, and best practices in infection control and sustainability.\nChampion the integration of digital health technologies and innovation into planning approaches.\nBusiness Development & Winning Work\n\nContribute to and lead bid strategies, proposals, and presentations to secure new commissions.\nWork with internal BD teams to identify emerging opportunities and position the team for success.\nBring a commercial mindset, helping to drive repeat business and expand existing client accounts.\nAbout You\n\nConsultancy or client-side background in healthcare planning, capital projects, or estates strategy.\nProven experience in strategic planning, business case development, and stakeholder management.\nFamiliarity with healthcare or pharmaceutical environments is essential.\nStrong track record in client engagement and contributing to successful project wins.\nExcellent communication skills and commercial awareness.\nComfortable advising clients from early-stage feasibility through to design input and funding approvals.\nWhat’s in It for You?\n\n£75,000 – £95,000 per annum\nCar allowance\n28 days annual leave\nPrivate pension contribution\nComprehensive healthcare\nTailored CPD and structured career development\nFlexible / hybrid working options\nInfluence high-profile UK and international healthcare schemes\nIf you’re ready to step into a strategic, client-facing leadership role that blends planning, advisory, and business-winning responsibilities, this could be the career move you've been waiting for.\n\nFor more information, please contact Halim Ahmad on (phone number removed) or email (url removed)\n\nCarriera Limited values and promotes equality and no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate against any protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
