A leading multi‑disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Architect to join its established Birmingham team. This is a senior architectural position offering the opportunity to lead design delivery, manage complex projects, and play a key role in business development and client relationships.\n\nThis role is ideal for an ARB Chartered Architect with strong technical expertise, excellent design capability, and a passion for delivering high‑quality architectural solutions across a wide range of sectors.\n\nAbout the Role – Associate Architect (Birmingham)\n\nAs an Associate Architect, you will take responsibility for:\n\nLeading architectural design and project delivery\n\nCoordinating multi‑disciplinary design teams\n\nManaging contract administration and key commercial activities\n\nSupporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships\n\nApplying advanced building science and technology to architectural and construction projects\n\nProviding innovative, technically robust and visually compelling design solutions\n\nYou will be recognised as a technical specialist, using your expertise to guide the design process, mentor colleagues, and ensure the successful delivery of complex architectural projects.\n\nA core part of the role involves championing technical excellence, particularly in BIM and Revit, and supporting the wider team in developing strong digital design capabilities.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage architectural design from concept through to completion\n\t\nOversee project coordination, technical delivery and contract administration\n\t\nProvide expert guidance on building regulations, construction technology and design standards\n\t\nMentor and support architectural teams, promoting best practice in BIM and Revit\n\t\nManage client relationships and contribute to business development\n\t\nEnsure high levels of technical accuracy, quality and compliance\n\t\nSupport the development of innovative, sustainable and cost‑effective design solutions\n\t\nOversee the development and management of construction information and project documentation\n\nRequirements\n\nARB Chartered Architect with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience\n\t\nStrong design, technical and project delivery skills\n\t\nExcellent knowledge of the architectural profession, construction processes and building technology\n\t\nAdvanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM Level 2, and 3D visualisation software\n\t\nProven ability to manage complex projects and negotiate effectively with stakeholders\n\t\nStrong communication skills and the ability to build long‑term client relationships\n\t\nA proactive approach to continuous professional development\n\nBenefits & Initiatives\n\nThis role offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:\n\nCar benefit scheme\n\t\nHybrid working / work‑from‑home options\n\t\nHealth insurance (cash plan)\n\t\nFlexible working scheme\n\t\nLong service awards\n\t\nCycle‑to‑work scheme\n\t\nLife assurance\n\t\nGenerous annual leave with buy, sell and carry‑over options\n\t\nSeason ticket loan\n\t\nEnhanced maternity and paternity pay\n\t\nEmployee referral awards\n\t\nProfessional qualification support\n\nTo apply, please forward your up to date CV & portfolio through to Ashley Johnson at Conrad Consulting.
